  Sorry about that happening to you. I had someone setup an account in my server one time.  I was lucky. I didn't find any evidence of any other wrong doing. Still made me mad however. We were lax in our security.  We got that fixed.  It still bothers me that people see distruction and intrusion in cyberspace as fun hobbies.
